about the blog

Understanding what it means to be sustainable. I find that this word can become negative when used too often.  Especially at Eastern Mennonite University, so much of the campus has been flooded with the idea of finding “peace with creation” that many cannot relate with it.  I often look to normalize being “green.” Finding ways to be green in the simple ways, that still make a difference.  “plain maintain” promotes the active attention to sustainability issues, while attempting to talk to, not over, it’s audience.  From the view of a student, I look to inform, inspire and perhaps, activate people to think and grow in their understanding of their impact on the world in which we all live together.
